The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan chaired a high-level meeting yesterday to discuss the preventive measures that are to be taken to curb the spread of Covid in the state.
Following the meeting, Jagan made a statement pertaining to restrictions in seating capacity in cinema halls and other entertainment venues in Andhra Pradesh.
Jagan ordered officials to implement 50% occupancy in cinema halls in Andhra Pradesh. Every other seat in auditoriums should be left vacant with no exceptions.
Tollywood box office is awaiting a series of releases in the next couple of weekends as medium-budget films like Ishq – Not A Love Story, and Ek Mini Katha are gearing up for release.
The rampant second wave of Covid and seating restrictions in cinema halls could seriously affect the box office returns of Telugu films in the near future.
