Since the 2018 Agnyathaavasi, Pawan Kalyan hasn’t appeared in Tollywood and has been away from the arc lights. However, after a lot of speculations and grapevines, the stage has been finally set for the return of Pawan Kalyan to the silver screen.
The actor-turned-politician is all set to step into the shoes of Amitabh Bachchan in the Telugu remake of National-award winning social thriller Pink.
The much-awaited news was officially announced by ace Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor through B-town media. Sriram Venu, who was signed on to direct Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s Icon, will be donning the director’s hat for PK’s comeback film, which is tentatively titled PSPK 26.
Bankrolled co-jointly by Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor, Pink remake is likely to have dialogues by Trivikram Srinivas. However, the makers have yet to reveal the cast and crew, the film’s launch and shooting updates.
Meanwhile, contrary to rumors that Sriram Venu’s forthcoming film, Icon, starring Allu Arjun, has been reportedly shelved, we have learned that the film will take off when Venu wraps up Pink remake and Allu Arjun completes his untitled film with Sukumar.
On the other hand, Pink is the story of three women, who enlist the help of a retired lawyer to fight a case against three young and affluent boys for molestation charges.
