The Italian government has recently announced that it will not give the vaccine made by Oxford-Astrazeneca to people under the age of 60. An 18-year-old woman who was recently vaccinated with AstraZeneca died of a blood clot on May 25. It seems that the Italian government has taken this decision due to the death of this teenager. Speaking to the reporters, Franco Locatelli, coordinator of the Technical Scientific Committee (CTS) said, “The epidemiological scenario has changed, and so has the relationship between the benefits of vaccination and the potential risk of unusual blood clots.”
Also, the Italian government has announced that it will no longer distribute the Astrazeneca vaccine. According to the reports, in rare cases, people may die after being vaccinated.
