For a few days now, there have been continuous rumours that Etela Rajender would not be contesting from Huzurabad in the Huzurabad by-elections. Almost confirming these rumours, at a recent press meet, Etela’s wife, Etela Jamuna made some shocking statements.
She said that it would be the same if she or her husband contested from Huzurabad. She reminded everyone that it was she who was behind her husband during his movement for Telangana.
Jamuna also reminded everyone that she participated in every election rally along with her husband, and even campaigned for the elections, before her husband. With Jamuna’s latest statements, the political situation in the state has taken an interesting turn.
On the other hand, Jamuna recently toured some wards belonging to the Huzurabad constituency, and went door to door, asking everyone to vote for her and her husband. Jamuna also reminded everyone in the constituency of the developments that Etela made, when he was the Minister of the constituency.
During her tour, Jamuna was questioned by a man named Srinivas, who questioned Jamuna about the Rs. 5 Lakhs that Etela promised to give Srinivas when Etela was serving as the Finance Minister of the State after Srinivas’s son died in an accident.
