The second phase of the IPL is set to commence on the 19th of this month and the stage is set for the same. The first match will be played between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.
Coming to the topic, Chennai Super Kings’ star player Ravindra Jadeja hinted that he is interested in taking over the captaincy reins once MS Dhoni retires.
In a recent social media interaction, Jadeja was asked whom he’d pick for the CSK captaincy role after Dhoni retires. He quickly replied “8”.
For those who cant understand the cryptic message, 8 is the jersey number Jadeja sports while representing the CSK franchise. The star all-rounder is implying that he himself is ready to take over the captaincy reins after Dhoni’s retirement.
However, for some reason, Jadeja deleted the tweet minutes after he posted it.
It would be really interesting to see who will really be captaining CSK post Dhoni’s retirement which is not too far from now.
