India is commemorating the seventh International Day of Yoga virtually essentially due to the Covid pandemic. On this occasion an event was held by the Union Ministry of AYUSH, which started at 6:30 am.
At the program, Union Minister of State for AYUSH Kiran Rijiju and Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about the importance of Yoga while addressing the citizens virtually. During his speech, PM Modi declared that India, alongside United Nations and WHO, is launching an application called mYoga intending to make everyone receive the simple access to knowledge of Yogic practice everywhere in the world. He added that it will aid in fulfilling the strategy “one world, one health”.
On the other hand, pictures from different parts of the nation have begun surfacing on social media, showing individuals denoting the World Yoga Day by rehearsing Yoga in little gatherings.
The theme for this year’s International Yoga Day is ‘Yoga For Wellness’ with respect to the present coronavirus pandemic. “Today when the entire world is fighting against COVID-19 pandemic, Yoga has become a ray of hope”.
“If there are threats to humanity, Yoga often gives us a way of holistic health. It also gives us a happier way of life. I am sure, Yoga will continue playing its preventive, as well as promotive role in the healthcare of masses,” asserted the prime minister.
