The YSRCP, while enjoying a majority in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, and while continuing to get the support of the people, suffers due to the ever-increasing politics within the members of the party, belonging to the same constituency at that. Several fights and misunderstandings have taken place between the members of the YSRCP thus far, and they continue to take place with every passing day.
The latest issue is between the MLA and the MLC of the Palnadu region – Kasu Mahesh Reddy, the MLA of Gurajala and Janga Krishnamurthy, the MLC. Janga, a two time MLA from Gurajala, became an MLC, while Mahesh is from Narasaraopet, who shifted to the Gurajala constituency in 2019. The situation has become so worse that the two are not attending any event together, and are said to be sharing such animosity for the other person, wherein they don’t even like wishing each other.
The most recent mishap happened when the YSRCP MPTCs from Dachepalli Mandal were sworn in twice, the first time in the presence of Janga Krishna Murthy, and the second time in the presence of Kasu. This issue became so big that Janga even lodged a complaint against Kasu, for the breach of protocol. Furthermore, the supporters of each group tore the felxis of the other group recently, making for further political turmoil. The locals are of the opinion that Jagan should intervene and settle the issue, and it is now to be seen what will happen.
