Amidst Covid-19, Indian Government organizations are moving towards digitization to reduce the direct human-human interaction. Supreme Court took an interesting initiative to digitize the processes.
Supreme Court Judge Chandrachud mentioned that the Supreme Court will be using digital technology for court proceedings and case filings. People can file cases digitally in future and the court proceedings will be telecast-ed to the media through video conferencing. The e-committee of Supreme Court took this decision considering the futuristic way of dealing with the current pandemic.
All other works can stop but law and justice should not be intervened by anything as it would create even more problems in the country. Taking this into consideration, Supreme Court decided to move ahead with digitization, standing as an inspiration to all the other courts in the country to follow.
Most of the Government organizations are looking into the alternative ways to keep the work going without halt due to Covid-19.
