Telangana Chief Minister KCR has announced to conduct the re-verification and revaluation of the intermediate answer sheets, at free of cost.
Several faults have been identified in the valuation of the Intermediate answer sheets, which led to the death of 17 students in Telangana. Aggrieved over this, students across the state, went against the Inter board and the issue has created a stir. Even the officials have accepted that there were faults in valuing the answer sheets.
Reacting to the issue, the Telangana minister KTR has earlier suggested to apply for the re-verification of the answer sheets, which further worsened the position of the Telangana government. Many questioned that why should innocent students spend their money, when fault is with the inter board. While none of the opposition leaders have responded to the issue, Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan has demanded for the revaluation and re-verification at free of cost today. Within few hours of his demand, an announcement from the TS government has been out, granting the same.
Speaking in a meeting at Pragathi Bhavan, KCR has ordered the concerned officials to complete the procedure as quickly as possible and also move on with the supplementary exams too later, so that the students will not lose the academic year. He went against the officials responsible for the negligence in the results and warned not to repeat the same. He opined that there should be an independent institution for all the exams and asked the officials to come up with any such idea.
Meanwhile, he also asked the students to not commit suicides, opining that it would be a great pain to their respective parents. “Suicides are most unfortunate. Intermediate education is not the whole life. Failing in examination does not amount to failing in life. There will be plenty of opportunities, even for those who fail in the exams,” KCR said.
