Rana was last seen in Bheemla Nayak which is the Telugu remake of the Malayalam super hit, Ayyappanum Koshiyum. He is now apparently working on affixing another remake.
It is heard that Rana is trying really hard to materialize the Telugu remake of Maanadu which was a smash hit in Tamil Nadu.
Rana has commissioned a group of writers for the project and related script development works are going on now. But what Rana really wants now is a capable director to handle the project.
He is looking for the right director to handle this complex script and soon after he finds one, the project will be launched.
Maanadu had Simbu in the lead role and it was directed by Venkat Prabhu. Suresh Productions hold the remake rights of the film.
