Many people in India may not know about the lawyer Keshav Parasaran. But, one can recognise him if we talk about the lawyer Parasaran who fought for decades in the Supreme Court to make sure the construction of Ram Mandir happens in Ayodhya which had been a dream for millions of Indians.
Parasaran is a man who has been working for justice for over 90 years. Although the Supreme Court bench said that he could sit and hear arguments because he was old, he would gently reject it and argue in a standing position at that age. Now, this dynamic personality seems to have involved in another prominent case which seems to remain as one of its kind in the history of Indian judiciary.
Parasaran, who was one of the most responsible persons for the construction of the Ayodhya Ramalaya, has now decided to stand by the farmers of Amravati for justice. He agreed to argue in the Supreme Court on behalf of the farmers who were betrayed by the AP government. Parasaran was also involved in the arguments over housing in the capital lands two days ago.
Amaravati farmers are fighting for justice at the Delhi level. If senior lawyers are hired in the Supreme Court, large-scale fees will have to be levied.The farmers of the capital region wanted Parasaran to argue about the hardship brought to them by the government and talked about the injustice being done. It is all about the YS Jagan led AP government which has decided to move the capital from Amaravati to which the farmers in that region sacrificed their farm lands for the development of the capital and the welfare of the state.
The farmers also asserted the lawyers that they can’t pay heavy fees and it is being said that Parasaran agreed to take up the case without a single rupee to be taken as a fee. Some lawyers are also said to be arguing this case alongside Parasaran for reduced fees considering the seriousness of the issue. But it is Parasaran who gave much importance to the case and made the things exciting in the court all of a sudden. Let’s see if justice prevails or not.
