When this on-going global pandemic is being dug deeply, many astonishing facts are evolving. As all the Indian citizens think, the COVID-19 that is present in India didn’t come from the dragon country China.
According to a study conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), the dreaded virus in India might have originated from Europe, the Middle East, Oceania, and South Asia. The epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak is the Wuhan city in China but its strain is not the cause for the widely transmitted COVID-19 in India.
The IISc team that comprises Kumar Somasundaram, Mainak Mondal, and Ankita Lawarde conducted the study and the researchers have analyzed 294 Indian viral genomes and came to an assessment. They attained a more clear result when did research intending to determine the diversity of the genetics among Indian SARS-CoV-2.
The team finally believes that the potential origin of the virus is noted from Europe, the Middle East, Oceania, and South Asia regions. They show that the Chinese Virus traveled all parts of the world and changed its genomic structure according to the climate variables and the resistibility of a particular race to a pathogen.
The researching team opined that the low infection rate in such a populous country like India is also due to the variation in these viral strains along with the social distance measures and lockdown.
