In a devastating and heinous crime that was committed by an Indian origin mother in the United States, she ended up killing her own son by splitting his throat open.
A 48-year-old Indian-origin woman, Saritha Ramaraju, has been charged with the murder of her 11-year-old son, Yatin, following a three-day trip to Disneyland. The incident occurred on March 19, 2025, in Santa Ana, California, during a custody visit.
According to authorities, Sarita called 911 that morning, stating she had killed her son and ingested pills in a suicide attempt. Officers arrived at the La Quinta Inn & Suites to find Yatin deceased on the bed, surrounded by Disneyland souvenirs. A large kitchen knife, purchased the previous day, was recovered from the scene.
Sarita, who had moved out of California after divorcing Yatin’s father in 2018, was in town for a custody visit. She had purchased three-day Disneyland passes for herself and Yatin. The day of the incident, March 19, was when Yatin was scheduled to return to his father’s custody.
