The COVID-19 pandemic is in no mood to slow down in Indian and is spreading at a rapid pace from last week recording the highest number of positive cases daily. On the other side, people were fed up with the repeated lockdown extensions and are desperate to get back into their normal lives.
Amid this chaos, the director of All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. Randeep Guleria “According to modeling data and the way our cases are increasing, it is likely that peak can come in June and July.”
Guleria is the one who has been suggesting the central government in the prevention measures taken so far to control the spread of the Novel Corona Virus. Even though India has to face severe consequences from COVID-19 in the upcoming two months, Guleria said that there are many other variables that may work out in the favor of the citizens.
Speaking about the efficiency of the lockdown extension, Guleria said, “With time only, we will know how much they are effective and the effect of extending the lockdown.” India’s count of COVID-19 cases reached 52,952, including 1,783 deaths on Thursday, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
