The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced India’s playing XI for the World Test Championship final against New Zealand.
India Playing XI: Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah.
Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami, who did not play the last Test against England, were added to the final XI. On the other hand, Wriddhiman Saha, Hanuma Vihari, Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav, who are in the 15-member squad, have missed the place the playing XI.
The Virat Kohli led side is going with five bowlers comprising Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja in the spin department and Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah in the pace attack.
The final will begin on Friday at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. The match will begin at 2 pm IST.
