Gas leakage turned out to be a nightmare for Vizag people. Gopalapatnam region was evacuated yesterday and the people were moved to a safe region. Few segments of media reported that the gas got leaked again in the early hours which made people all over the state panic about their relatives who are living in Vizag.
Police officials conformed that the second gas leakage information is not correct and the people are being evacuated just as a precaution. Police force and the Government requested people not to panic over the situation as appropriate measures were being taken for the safety.
As per the details, people living in around 2kms radius were asked to evacuate the region and the officials mentioned that the people living beyond that radius need not worry. AP Government announced exgratia of 1 Crore for the family who lost their family member in this unfortunate incident. People who are on ventilator will be given 10 lakhs. Government is taking care of the medical expenses.
