YSRCP MLAs Roja and Gadikota Srikanth Reddy severely went against Nara Lokesh calling his hunger strike as a “Diet Deeksha”.
Due to the sand crisis in Andhra Pradesh, Lokesh and a few other TDP leaders conducted a one-day hunger strike on Friday. Responding to it, Roja and Srikanth said that Lokesh’s strike is the part of his daily diet.
But the point to be noted here is, it may or may not be a “Diet Deeksha”, but it is clearly evident that there is a sand crisis in the state, which Lokesh and other TDP leaders are trying to highlight.
Even then, the ruling party leaders are sidelining the main issue and are highlighting other petty issues of the opposition leaders. It is to be remembered that the reactions of this sort would only worsen the position of the YSRCP, which the people believed in it completely and offered a humongous majority in the last general elections

Meanwhile the TDP leaders are strictly going against the state government, blaming Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, for the non-availability of sand. They alleged that the YSRCP leaders are behind shifting the sand to other states like Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
