Music maestro Ilayaraja filed a petition against Prasad studio owner Sai Prasad, who is the grand son of LV Prasad. A studio was begin by LV Prasad in Chennai to exclusively provide audio production with all required facilities dedicated for vocal, instrumental and orchestral section recordings separately.
Ilayaraja had a good bonding with LV Prasad studio founder L.V prasad. As per his statement in this regard, he was given an exclusive recording complex by Prasad in 1977 as a token of gift. But now the allegations from Sai Prasad who is his grandson, are that Ilayraja has no right to be there anymore and demanded him to vacate. Reportedly, few of Ilayaraja’s musical instruments and personal belongings were damaged and stolen in a brawl.
8 months ago Ace directors and film personalities like Bharathiraja Bhagya Raj seeman stood by Ilayaraja and demanded justice. Recently, Sai Prasad asserted that there is no written documents indicating that it belongs to Ilayaraja neither any legal writing has been acknowledged as a gift. But the music composer is rigid in his opinion to not vacate the place as he had been for over 40 years and has a right to the property. Now he complained that Sai Prasad had forcibly tried to demolish the building and reconstruct it for his own commercial purpose. The music director demanded criminal charges to be taken by police against Sai Prasad.
