On the accusation of compromising on the National Security, Ex-Chief Intelligence AB Venkateswara Rao has reacted. This is his first reaction after the news of his suspension broke out in the media. He had said that he absolutely have no problem with this action against him.
Is this some kind of an arrogance? Or is this a confidence that he is not guilty of the accusations? We don’t know. But he had asked all his family, friends and well-wishers to not get worried for him and that all will be fine. Now this does not sound very normal from a person in his situation.
The charges on him are that when he was working as Additional Director General of Police, he had involved in corruption as well as bought security systems from Israel against the National Security rules. This is being seen by the Central Intelligence as a direct threat on National Security. A total of 7 charges are laid on him in this regard.
He responded that he is considering all options that he has in order to face these charges legally. He also added that the media reports are not true and that he is not at all affected by these stories. Also a letter was posted online on the same fr him.
