Recently, a section of Tamil cinema followers brought up the rumors that the post-theatrical OTT rights and satellite rights of Salaar went unsold and that is the reason why the film’s release is getting postponed.
However, in a new development, it is understood that Netflix has paid a whopping amount of money for the post theatrical OTT streaming rights of Salaar.
Apparently, Netflix has paid in the range of Rs 160 crores for the OTT rights of Salaar which is a non-Rajamouli record for an Indian film. But there is no affirmative update in this regard for now so we have to see if Netflix actually paid such a whopping amount of money.
Salaar is now heading for its theatrical release towards the end of this year. It is the most anticipated mass actioner of the year.
