The Zomato delivery controversy of Bangalore has been the most talked-about controversy all over India for the past few days. Social media personality, Hitesha Cnadhrani initially released a video saying that the Zomato delivery person assaulted her. Following her video, the Zomato delivery boy, Kamaraj, released his own version of the story, saying that Hitesha injured herself and that he had nothing to do with it.
The police initially arrested Kamaraj, and he was recently released on bail. As soon as he was released on bail, Kamaraj filed an FIR against Hitesha, and Hitesha was asked by the police to attend the trial. However, she failed to do so, and in turn, told the police that she wouldn’t be able to attend the trial because she’s at a relative’s house in Maharashtra. The police have given time for Hitesh to attend the trials and said that she would be arrested if she fails to attend the trials after she’s back from Maharashtra.
Many Bollywood celebrities have responded to the controversy and extended their support to Kamaraj. Zomato co-founder Deepender Goyal has also responded to the controversy and gave his version.
Deepender said that they are cooperating with the police department from all angles, and also said that Zomato will bear the legal costs of Kamaraj while also continuing to pay his salary during this interim period. Hitesha’s medical costs would also be beared by Zomato.
