The Hindi remake of Nani’s Telugu sports drama Jersey is turning out to be a huge dud in terms of theatrical returns. The film is being termed a box office failure.
In its 3-day run at the box office, Jersey, which has Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles has collected less than Rs 16 crores nett. At this rate, the film might end up collecting in the range of Rs 20-25 crores.
The film is on course to become one of the biggest box office disasters of the year when it comes to investment and theatrical returns.
Despite okayish reviews, Jersey is unable to pull the masses to theatres in big numbers which is resulting in weak box office numbers.
The Hindi remake is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri who helmed the original.
