The Pre-release event of the Telugu version of the upcoming film Chandramukhi 2, directed by P Vasu took place in Hyderabad tonight, for which the cast and crew of the film were present. The film is a sequel to the 2005 film, which featured Rajnikanth in the lead role. Raghava Lawrence will be seen as the leading man in the sequel, which is scheduled to be released on September 28th.
MM Keeravani scored the music for this film, which features Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut in the titular role. Talking about the film, director Vasu said that the audiences are going to enjoy the film, and that he’s confident about it. He said that the sequel will honor the original, and so will Rajni’s character in the original.
Raghava Lawrence said that he was initially scared to take up the role because he was afraid of stepping into Rajni’s shoes, but that he managed to get over his fear after being blessed by Rajni himself. He also said that it was a pleasure working with Kangana.
Talking about the film, Kangana thanked the director for giving her this film. She also said that she’s glad to be a part of the movie, which will be her second Telugu release after Ek Niranjan, and said that she hopes she gets to do more Telugu movies.
The rest of the team said that they’re very happy to be a part of the film, and thanked the director for giving them this opportunity. They also expressed confidence in the film doing well at the box office, and the audiences liking the film.
