Naresh and Pavitra have been promoting Malli Pelli which is gearing up for its theatrical release tomorrow, 26 May. The couple has been extensively giving media interviews of late.
But in a new shock to the team and those involved with the production, a high court case has been filed against the film.
Naresh’s ex-wife Ramya has approached the High Court and has asked for an order that stalls the release of Malli Pelli. She alleges that the film is aimed at belittling her and an attempt to assassinate her character.
This comes a day before the film’s theatrical release and this is never an ideal situation for any film, let alone a small film like Malli Pelli.
Malli Pelli is directed by MS Raju and it is one of the most controversial films in Telugu cinema in the recent past.
