The Andhra Pradesh government credits the fee reimbursement amount into the accounts of the mothers under the Jagananna Vidya Deevena (Fee reimbursement scheme. However, this has turned out to be a major concern for the principals of educational institutions as they aren’t getting the money back, as a result of which they aren’t getting their due fee.
This case came to a hearing in the HC today, based on the petition filed by advocate M Sri Vijay Kumar on behalf of the Krishna Devaraya group of educational institutions. The HC ordered the government to credit the amount into the accounts of the principals of the educational institutions directly, to avoid any confusion. The HC also said that there are chances of parents misusing this money, which is why crediting money into their accounts should be avoided.
Now that the HC has given this verdict, it should be seen if the Jagan government will approach the Supreme Court, challenging the HC’s verdict.
