Director Harish Shankar is known to make the star studded films in Tollywood. Right from Mirapakaya to his last outing DJ, he had been continuing the similar commercial format. But it seems, the director is finally coming out of the typical format and is experimenting other good scripts too.
As Harish Shankar has proven to be the best in molding the remakes after Gabbar Singh, he once again picked the super hit Tamil movie “Jigarthanda” and started filming it in Telugu with the title “Valmiki”.
Unlike making it as an honest remake, Harish is injecting his creativity to it. In the recently released single “Gagana Veedhilo”, the lyrical importance and Mickey J Meyer’s soothing music took the feel of the song to the next level.
Adding to it, Harish should be appreciated for his courage to picturize the song on Atharva and Mrinalini, who are Tamil actors and not known to many in Telugu. Keeping a mega hero like Varun Tej in the film, the director picking unknown actors for the song, proves the confidence he had on the script.
The director who took his sweet time to start his next after DJ, is confident of bagging a super hit in the form of Valmiki. The film is scheduled for release on the 20th of this month.
