Star Cast Pawan Kalyan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Bobby Deol
Director Jyothi Krishna
Producer A. M. Rathnam
Music M. M. Keeravani
Run Time 2h 43m
Release 24 Jul, 2025

Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a film starring Pawan Kalyan, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyothi Krishna. The story is set in the 16th century. The plot revolves around the Kohinoor diamond. Pawan Kalyan plays a warrior who rebels against the Mughals for attacking Hindus and protects Hindu values. He also acts as a thief who robs the rich and helps the poor. Nidhi Agarwal is the heroine, while Bobby Deol plays the antagonist. The film is produced by A. Dayakar Rao under Mega Surya Productions, presented by A.M. Ratnam, with music by Keeravani.

Story:

The story follows a thief who protects the country’s wealth from the British and shares it with the poor. He tries to retrieve the Kohinoor diamond from the Mughals and, in the process, protects Hindus and upholds Hindu values. The challenges Veera Mallu faces while bringing the diamond from Delhi, and how he confronts Aurangzeb, who tortures Hindus and imposes unfair taxes, form the core plot.

Performances:

The film is completely a Pawan Kalyan one-man show. He fits perfectly in the role of a warrior who safeguards Hindu values. With his unique style and swag, he energizes his fans. He looks impressive in the Veera Mallu avatar. The film’s main highlights are the fights. Pawan Kalyan designed the action sequences himself and performed them brilliantly. His entry fight and the fight with wrestlers are full treats for fans. The pre-interval fight at Charminar is a major plus. In the second half, his scenes with a tiger and wolf stand out—he showcases his martial arts skills and brings intensity to those scenes.

Another highlight in the second half is the fight where he appears as a warrior protecting Hindu Dharma. He entertains occasionally with his comic timing as well. Pawan Kalyan dominates all the key scenes in the film.

Nidhi Agarwal performs decently. But Her role is minimal, but she gets one key scene where her character becomes important.

Nazar, Sathyaraj, Sunil, Subbaraju, Raghu Babu, Kabir Duhan Singh—all supporting actors did well in their roles. They added humor and energy in between.

Bobby Deol fits into the role of Aurangzeb. Though his character is crucial, he doesn’t appear much in the first part. He is expected to show more villainy in the second part. He performs well within his limited screen time.

Music:

Keeravani’s music disappoints in parts. Those expecting music and background score on par with his work for Rajamouli films may feel let down. While some BGM is impactful, a few songs and background scores fail to impress.

Cinematography:

Cinematography is decent. Gnanasekhar and Manoj Paramahamsa handled the visuals. A lot of the film was shot on green mat and used VFX, but the visual effects fall short. In today’s times, even small-budget films have better VFX. This big-budget film with a big star needed better care in this department.

Direction and Writing:

Krish wrote the story and directed part of it. Later, Jyothi Krishna took over and made some visible changes in the screenplay and narration. Sai Madhav’s dialogues are well-written.

Plus Points:

  • Pawan Kalyan
  • Tiger and wolf fight scenes
  • Wrestling fight
  • Charminar fight
  • Action episodes

Minus Points:

  • Screenplay
  • VFX
  • Love track
  • Overuse of BGM

Final Verdict:

Hari Hara Veera Mallu is carried single-handedly by Pawan Kalyan. He impresses in his first-ever period film with both looks and performance. He stands out as a warrior fighting against Mughal injustice and protecting Hindu values. His martial arts scenes and dialogue delivery are his strengths. While the first half is exciting, the second half slightly derails. The Kohinoor plot could have been wrapped up in one part, but they added the Hindutva protection angle, which shows reflections of Pawan Kalyan’s real-life beliefs. Overall, this is a solid film from Pawan Kalyan with meaningful content. If the climax had been more impactful, it would have increased curiosity even further. The film connects history, Pawan Kalyan’s image, and Hindu values into one strong narrative.
