Happy Journey is setting out to bring a refreshing emotional drama to Telugu cinema with a strong women-led narrative at its heart. Produced under the banners of Gutta Productions and Kamalakar Film Corporation, the film marks the directorial debut of Abhiramm Naidu.
The makers recently unveiled the film’s pleasant first look poster, which instantly creates a warm and feel-good vibe. Set against the stunning backdrop of Paris, featuring the iconic Louvre Pyramid and charming French streets, the poster showcases the ensemble cast sharing cheerful moments that hint at friendship, healing, and self-discovery.
Unlike conventional hero-centric dramas, Happy Journey focuses on the emotional journeys of seven women from different generations. The film stars Annapurnamma, Amani, Jhansi, Payal Radhakrishna, Jinisha Alishetty, Roopaa Srinivas, and Sunaina in pivotal roles, alongside Prudhvi Dandamudi, Vamshidhar Goud, and Ravi Siva Teja Paila.
The tagline, “Some trips change plans… Some change lives,” suggests that the film goes beyond being just a travel drama. It appears to explore themes of emotional healing, companionship, rediscovery, and personal transformation through a journey across scenic European locations, including Paris and Montpellier.
Industry buzz suggests that the film balances relatable emotions with visually rich storytelling. The chemistry among the cast and the grounded emotional tone are expected to be major highlights.
The technical team behind the project also adds strength to the film. Shekar Chandra is composing the music, while cinematography is handled by Manikandan Subramaniyan. Veteran editor Chota K Prasad is overseeing editing, and Brahma Kadali is in charge of production design.
