Director Hanu Raghavapudi is currently riding high on the success of his recent film Sita Ramam, which featured Dulquer Salman and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. The film also had Rashmika Mandanna, Sumanth and Tharun Bhascker in key roles. Sita Ramam has been very well appreciated by fans all over the country, in various languages, and even was released on OTT recently.
In a recent interview, Hanu clarified and opened up about one scene from the film, for which he has been trolled brutally by fans. Fans have been trolling Hanu for the scene where Ram talks about his earnings, Rs. 600, and talks about how it was enough for his Sita to be with him. Fans have been saying that Hanu copied this scene from Venkatesh’s Malliswari, which had a very similar scene in the climax.
Hanu said that this was not the case, and that he didn’t copy the scene from Malliswari. He said that the idea for the scene was to portray the love between Rama and Sita in a very simple, yet touching manner. He said that it’s a privilege and honor to be compared to Malliswari anyway.
