A married woman has committed suicide, unable to tolerate the harassment of a Grama Volunteer. The incident took place in East Godavari.
Pallepu Madhava Varma, who recently got appointed as a Grama Volunteer in Thaallarevu Mandal, Gaadimoga village, forced a 28-year-old lady named Veeraveni, to convince another girl for sharing bed with him. Unwilling to do it, Veeraveni rejected his request numerous times and even took the issue to the public and physically injured him by beating with a wooden chair.
