Goa police withholds a passenger for yelling terrorist mid air
In an unforeseen development, a traveler on Air India flight flying from Delhi to Goa alarmed commuters aboard and aircraft team by yelling mid air that there was a terrorist on the plane.
During the flight, Zia-ul Haq hailing from Okhla in New Delhi, hinted that he is an official of the Special Cell of the Delhi Police and that there was a terrorist on the flight.
The pilot quickly educated the Goa Air Traffic Control about the difficulty at the earliest, and when the flight arrived in Goa around 3:30 pm, he was withheld by police.
“On October 22, the aeronautics security resuscitated a call from the ATC. A traveler asserted that on-board of AI 884 that there is a terrorist in the airplane, fast activity group (QAT) and Bomb Direction Disposal Squad (BDDS) came to the aerobridge and completely checked the airplane and suspect traveler and his belongings. Later was sent to the air terminal police for additional check up.”, an aviation security spokesman reported.
The cabin crew has also issued a written complaint to authorities at Goa airport about the untowardly incident. The Goa Airport Director stated, a mentally unsound passenger travelled by Air India the previous day from Delhi to Goa created racket, who was later handed over to Goa police.
The passenger is presently being quizzed by a joint team of Goa Police and central intelligence agencies.The family of the suspicious individual has informed that he is mentally ill and has been a victim of depression and anxiety.
