The much anticipated GHMC exit polls are out and the results are not that shocking in the first place. If we dive deep, most of the surveys gave TRS maximum vote share and predicted that the KCR led party will grab about half of the seats and the BJP will have a fine share but the MIM will compete with the Saffron party for the runner-up position.
According to the People’s Polls Survey, TRS is likely to win 68-78, BJP 25-35, MIM 38-42 and Congress 1-5. Coming to the issues that might have affected the voting share, the Double-bedroom houses accounted for 28 percent, unemployment 21 percent, flood relief 16 percent, roads 10 percent, sanitation 9 per cent and other issues 4 percent.
According to the CPS survey, TRS is likely to win 82-96, BJP 12-20, MIM 32-38 and Congress 3-5 seats. On the other hand, AARA exit polls predicted that TRS is likely to win 78 (+/- 7), BJP 28 (+/- 5), Majlis party 41 (+/- 5) and Congress 3 (+/- 3) seats.
While TRS is expected to have at least 40% of the total vote share, most of the exit polls predict BJP is likely to have a vote share of 31.21%, MIM 13.43%, Congress 8.38% and others 7.70%.
