Hyderabad has a very good amount of amusement and theme parks like Ramoji Film City, snow world, wonderla, Jalavihar water park etc.
Adding to these, a fruit theme park, a rainwater harvesting theme park, a dinosaur theme park and the nation’s first dog park are known to be under development.
What’s more, Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC)’s biodiversity wing is now aiming to set up 57 more unique theme parks soon in its limits.
Under this plan, the municipal corporation has took charge to renovate 57 existing parks, in which the new theme parks will be established at an estimated cost of 123 crores.
GHMC has invited tenders respectively to create designs for development of two major parks in the city aiming to adhere to international standards. Initially, tenders have been put forth for Indira Park in Lower Tank Bund and the Jalagam Vengala Rao Park in Banjara Hills.
Reportedly, proposals were prepared for 16 theme parks in LB Nagar Zone, six in Kukatpally, 10 in Serilingampally, eight in Secunderabad, 14 in Khairatabad and three in Charminar zones.
The theme parks will allot space for yoga, walking tracks and open-air gyms for citizens. The finalised new these comprise- Animal Kingdom park, a Topiary Garden, a Herbal Theme park, a Women’s park, an Adventure Theme park, a Community park, a Children’s park or Tranquility park, a Golf Theme park and a Science Theme park.
