The manner in which the famous shrine Dwarka Tirumala temple authorities are behaving has become quite controversial in Andhra Pradesh. Some officials are said to have shown over-enthusiasm at Venkateswara Swamy’s Brahmotsavam.
As part of Vaisakhamasam, the Thiru Kalyanotsavam was carried out by the priests of the Dwaraka Tirumala temple. This kalyanotsavam was celebrated from the 22nd to the 29th of this month. Saturday was the last day of these celebrations, and as part of that, the Pavalimpu seva was performed for the Lord. The flowers and garlands that were used to decorate the sanctum sanctorum are creating all the ruckus now. These flowers and garlands were in the colours of the ruling YSRCP flag, and the garlands were of plastic flowers. This has become highly controversial in AP right now.
Temple officials are being highly criticised. Temple EO GV Subba Reddy was directly involved in the festivities, who is now being questioned by the devotees, of why such an act, where plastic flowers of the YSRCP’s flag were used to decorate the temple. It is now to be seen what more political situations and tensions this will lead to.
