It was widely rumored that Ganta Srinivasa Rao would shift his loyalties towards YSRCP, after he appreciated CM Jagan’s proposal of picking Vizag as executive Capital of Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to the media, Ganta said that Vizag people have given him an opportunity to serve them as MLA, MP and Minister. “I have 30 years of association with the city. So picking the city as Capital would naturally excite me”, Ganta said.

He further clarified on the party change rumors saying that he is not going to change the party under any circumstances. The senior politician has confirmed that he is going to retain in TDP till the end of his political journey.
The statement has come as a great relief to TDP as it faced the series of jolts through the defections after losing the power in the last general elections.
