Previously, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao passed a statement that their government would only conduct tests to the suspects and there is no need to test everyone in the state and cited a clause from ICMR guidelines supporting his statement. But, the High court ridiculed the behavior of the TG government and ordered them to increase the tests.
Later they also ordered the TRS government to allow the private hospitals to conduct the COVID-19 confirmatory tests. It is when the ICMR stated that Telangana tops the list in which the least number of COVID-19 tests conducted in a state per million people.

So, there is no involvement of the government whatsoever, and the people who doubt themselves of having Corona Virus can go to any of these 12 laboratories and can get tested by paying the required amount.
Among the 12, the eight laboratories in Hyderabad have received permission to conduct the coronavirus tests that include Apollo Health Sciences and Lifestyle Ltd, Bowenpally, American Institute of Pathology and laboratory Pvt Ltd, Nallagandla, Dr. Remedies Labs Private Limited, Hyderabad, Laboratory Services Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, Medics Pathlabs India Pvt.Ltd., Bowenpally, Pathcare Labs Pvt Ltd., Keesara, Vijaya Diagnostics, and Vimta Labs.
