Telangana people are well aware of the relation between the ruling TRS party and their ally MIM. They know how they play politics and they are clear that ‘opportunistic’ is the operative word to determine their actions. Yet these two parties still believe that they can make Hyderabadi people fools.
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) which is a long time ally of the ruling TRS party contest alone in the local body polls, as well as the GHMC elections for their own benefits and all KCR cares, is the mutual benefits he can rip off from this strategy. In that order the MIM leader Charminar constituency MLA, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan made sensational remarks on TRS during the Greater Hyderabad elections.
Ahmed has been campaigning extensively on behalf of the Majlis candidates in the divisions of Charminar constituency in the Greater elections and he termed KTR as a little bird which opened its eyes in politics and said that the Majlis party has seen many such people.
“We know whom to make leaders in the politics and we also know how to get the same leaders off the chair,” commented this MIM leader. He challenged that if the MIM gives a thought about the TRS, they can collapse their government within 2 months. If you know about Telangana politics, Khan’s comments are not new and at the same time MIM-TRS strategies are also not new.
At the time of elections, both parties compete together. At the same time they strategically criticize each other. MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi was similarly outraged in the last 2018 elections. However he later reunited with KCR at the time of need. All this is just a ploy to ensure that the Muslim vote in Hyderabad won’t get split for any reasons.
However, analysts say that currently there is dissatisfaction among Muslim communities as well and it is present in some quarters of the MIM as well and will it be a match that flares the forest before both these parties’ leaders make fools out of themselves?
