Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and the YSRCP chief, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he would ensure that AP would get the special status if the people of AP gave him 22 seats. The people of AP did exactly that, and there’s still no sign of any special status being granted to AP.
The central government has announced four budgets since it came to power four years ago. This year, the central government is preparing for temporary budget ahead of the elections next year. With almost five budgets having passed by, AP CM Jagan doesn’t seem to have found his voice to pressurize the central government for AP’s special status. It is important to note that this was the same person who criticised Chandrababu Naidu for failing to get AP special status.
When he was so forthcoming to criticise someone over the same issue, it is truly a wonder why that very person seems to be the least bit bothered about the same issue. With AP not being in a financially stable position right now, it truly is a surprise why Jagan doesn’t seem to care at all.
