A day after a 19 year old B pharma student was abducted in Ghatkesar, Rachakonda police lodged a gang rape case on four accused on Thursday.
She was dropped by her father in the morning at 7:30 a.m in the college.The horrifying incident took place on Wednesday evening when the victim was returning from college where she stopped at Rampally and took an auto. But at 6 p.m the victim cried calling her mother as the auto driver didn’t stop the vehicle. Later despite alerting, four joined the auto and forced her into van, soon took to bushes in a secluded space and raped her.
Officials captured autorickshaw drivers — Raju, Nadam Shiva, Bhaskar and Ramesh — all aged between 25 and 30 years, who are residents of Yamnampet in Pocharam municipality.
Based on the victim’s mother complaint and the medical examination report, police filed gang rape case under 376 (D) (gangrape), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 354 (physical contact and advances involving unwelcome and explicit sexual overtures), 354 (B) (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe) booked to the already existing 365 (kidnap) sections of the IPC.
“Scientific investigation is in progress and victim’s health is stable. More than 10 special investigation teams are assisting the police”, said official of Rachakonda police .
She was unable to give her statement immediately due to trauma. On Thursday, she was taken to Gandhi hospital for reexamination and her statement was recorded,” added the officer.
