Inspired by Nizamabad farmers, who is contesting against MP Kavitha in the elections, even the fluorosis hit people are now planning their battle against Prime Minister Modi in the similar way.
The victims from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will reportedly file the nominations against Modi in Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency when the nominations begin on April 22 and the elections are scheduled to be held on May 19.
As per the fluoride victims, the fluoride contamination of ground water has been hitting lakhs of people in both the Telugu states over the decades. None of the governments have taken care of it, even after several reports.
Aggrieved over this, the victims had to move against the Centre and thus contest against Modi. Already two people from fluoride-hit areas in Telugu states- Vadde Srinivas from AP’s Prakasam district and Jalagam Sudheer from Telangana’s Nalgonda district have decided to file the nominations on the scheduled date.
Speaking to the media, they said that they are intending to highlight the fluorosis issue at the national level and thus get the attention of the entire nation.
