For the first time in the history, 5 Indian origin ladies were in race for Miss Universe 2019 title. The first in the list is the Miss Universe contestant from India, Varthika Singh. This masters’ degree holder and model was crowned Miss Universe India for 2019.
Second in the list is Miss Universe contestant from Australia, Priya Serrao. She is currently working as policy adviser for Victorian Government, Australia. Priya was born in Secunderabad and their family moved to Australia when she was 11.
Third in the list is Miss Universe contestant from Malaysia, Shwetha Shekon. This Punjabi descent lady was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia for 2019. Shweta was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur but this lady is fluent in Hindi and Punjabi along with English and Malay.
Fourth in the list is Miss Universe contestant from Singapore, Mohana Prabha Selvam. A graduate from Biomedical Sciences, Mohana Prabha Selvam is the Miss Universe Singapore for 2019.
Fifth in the list is Miss Universe contestant from Panama, Mehr Eliezer. Born in New Delhi, raised in Philippines and Panama, Mehr Eliezer is a multi-talented person. She is a boxer, theatre artist, 2 bachelor degree holder from University of Florida and a professional swimmer.
This is the first time in history to see five Indian ladies competing for the Miss Universe title.
