South siren Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Shaakuntalam, one of the much-awaited mythological films of this year, has finally locked a date for its worldwide release. Postponed multiple times due to delay in making, the movie is now set to hit the screens on April 14th this year.
The makers today announced the same by unveiling a new poster, which features Sam lying in a forest with a scenic view. Sharing the same, the makers wrote, “Excited to meet you all in theatres and welcome you into the world of #ShaakuntalamOnApril14.”
Directed by Gunasekhar, Samantha will be seen opposite Dev Mohan in Shaakuntalam. Based on a popular Indian play Shakuntala by Kalidasa, the movie will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. The flick also features Mohan Babu, Madhoo, Gautami, Aditi Balan and Ananya Nagalla among others. Mani Sharma composed the music.
