Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy went to the rescue of the people of Uddanam, who is suffering from chronic kidney disease (CKD) over the years.
During the election campaigning for the last assembly elections, Jagan had promised to set up a multi-specialty hospital to address the kidney issue in the region. Keeping up the promise, the young CM passed on the G.O. sanctioning Rs. 50 crore funds for it. The YSRCP government had sanctioned a 200 bed multi-specialty hospital, along with a research and Dialysis Centre in Palasa.
Though the kidney issue is prevalent in Uddanam and hundreds of people are losing their lives over the years, it came to light, only after Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan highlighted it. He even assembled the doctors from other countries and met the then Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. But there was no much result.
Finally, Jagan is now able to take a bigger step for the region, which is not only being lauded by the locals, but also by the netizens on the social media, from various parts of the world.
