Netflix India is keen to launch a large number of new movies, which is evident from the recent past as it released many films in the lock down phase. Reportedly, Netflix India is working incessantly to begin shooting of the upcoming films for another six months. One such low key venture is ‘Decoupled’, wherein filming is still being continued in Goa. It highlights R Madhavan and Surveen Chawla as a grieved couple attempting to patch up their failed relationship and bring it back on the track.
In September 2020 news surfaced that Akshaye Khanna was going to make his debut in the digital space with the web series titled De-coupled helmed by Hardik Mehta. But it was learnt that Akshay was dissatisfied as he had some creative differences and had quit it. Soon this paved way to Madhavan when Producers Vikramaditya Motwane, Bhavesh Mandalia, and Sejal Shah immediately approached him. However, Netflix India took the ownership in producing the flick later.
The actor has carved a niche for himself with his versatile acting in Bollywood so far. He has tasted massive success with ‘Maara’ on Amazon Prime Video lately. Wherein, Surveen makes a comeback after a brief gap in Decoupled after 5 years post-motherhood.
