Of late a new ATT, Friday Movies app that was recently launched gained traction with eye grabbing marketing tag lines.
One of it include, “Download Friday Movies app on your device and start watching content on pay-per-view basis. No subscription, membership, whatsoever. Pick any of your favourites, pay the affordable ticket price and begin streaming it without any hassle”. But it all ended in a damp squib.
Friday movies promoted MS Raju’s production ‘Dirty Hari’ extensively as their maiden movie. The tickets were scheduled to be available yesterday evening from 6p.m. But when the film freaks logged in to the app there was no option to pay the ticket price in the first place. Later after the option was seen, the server seem to be substandard quality as it didn’t respond even after buying the ticket. Viewers were infuriated when the app constantly popped up a message ‘sever busy. We are currently working on it’, despite several attempts.
Reportedly, many netizens on social media complained that the ticket price has been deducted but there was no streaming on the very first day of its launch. The film buffs downright slammed calling it a worst platform!
The makers promised to resolve the issue by today morning but it looks very hopeless as no one neither got to see the film nor did they get their money back. The app reportedly belongs to one young producer and his friends, who appear to have close connection with film producer MS Raju.
