Venkatesh and Varun Tej’s much-awaited comedy drama, F3 has hit the screens today. Let’s check how it it.
Story:
F3 introduces all the lead characters from F2 but the premises is completely different. F3 prominently revolves around money. Venky( Venkatesh) who is typical middle class troubles in family will be tilting towards easy money ideas to meet family needs. On the other hand, Varun Yadav( Varun Tej) with similar easy money mindset crosses paths with Venky and plans for a easy money scheme with Harika’s ( Tamannaah) family but all the plans fall flat due to individual greedy mindsets. This is the time, a rich businessman Anand Prasad’s( Murali Sharma) video byte about his missing son flashes. To prove as Anand Prasad’s son, Venky, Varun and others fly to Vizianagaram. The rest of the film deals with is what kind of activities will the lead actors do to impress Anand Prasad’s son, forms the rest of the narrative.
On screen performances:
Venkatesh and Varun Tej did their job perfectly. While Venkatesh evokes good fun at parts with his comic timing, Varun is equally impressive in his character.
On the other hand, Tamannaah, Sunil, Rajendra Prasad are okay decent in their money minded greedy roles. Murali Sharma gets a meaty role as a rich businessman and he did his part quite convincingly.
Sonal Chauhan is wasted in cameo role. Ali evokes decent fun in his limited screen space.
Off-screen talents:
Director Anil Ravipudi’s idea of continuing the blockbuster F2 franchise with F3 by interlinking the entire setup with easy money concept is good but he his narrative lacks soul in it. Most of the comic portions look forced on screen with so much of unwanted logic less presentation.
Music by Devi Sri Prasad is okay. The cinematography work is good as the iconic Falaknuma Palace which plays a key role has been showcased beautifully. Sai Sri Ram’s work as photographer is good. Editing by Tammiraju is adequate.
Surprisingly, the production values for this Dil Raju’s production venture are not up to the mark.
Positive Points:
- A few comedy portions
- Venkatesh and Varun Tej
Negative Points:
- Lacks proper presentation
- Uneven scene order
Verdict:
In an overview, F3 is a fun coated film that revolves around easy money concept. Though the lead artists did their part quite effectively, lack of solid presentation from Anil Ravipudi comes as a main minus for the film. All we suggest is before watching keep a check on your expectations.
