We all know that a biopic is being made on Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao, the legendary singer. His fan Ch Rama Rao has almost finished the film, and it is reportedly in post-production.
The singer’s son had no problem when the biopic was being made, permissions were sought but after the film had been completed he began raising objections, definitely with an intention of getting some money.
Upon some advice by his well-wishers, he apparently contacted Chamundeshwari, daughter of Savitri and she told him that they were happy with the money given to them by the producers of Mahanati and even suggested he ask his producer.
Here the producer and director is one and the same and he struggled to pool a couple of crores to make Ghantasala The Great.
There is a marked difference in budget, scale in both the films and Ghantasala’s son is clearly having sight on the business of the film. The director is determined to release the movie and fight it out in the court.
