Vijay Kumar Balla who wrote Sittarala Siripadu in Ala Vaikuntapuram Lo is an LIC agent and also worked as a lecturer. How did he get the offer to write?
“Sirivennela’s brother is my colleague in LIC. His son is an AD. Usually “In our Sunday”, a youtube channel, songs of talented writers and amateurs are uploaded. That is how he got to know about me. Janapadaniki baruvu oka rakam ga undali. It has become slow. Telangana folk is smooth like lalita geetam. Seekakulam dialect has ups and downs. When I worked as a lecturer, I would always talk and explain any song like Narayana Reddy’s Ghazal or Seetarama Sastry’s song. All this can be an inspiration to take life head on. I can teach songs as a lesson. I teach all this to my LIC agents. Seekakulam is janapada vagmayam. Most of the songs haven’t come out. In Telangana lot of publicity is given and people sing and promote but not in Seekakulam. There are very few stalwarts who have faded into oblivion like Vangapandu Prasad Rao and I am worried as to what will happen to this mandalikam?”
