In recent times, Biopic stories became popular in Bollywood as well as Tollywood. Young directors are trying to showcase popular figures’ stories on the silver screen.
As part of this, young director Vamsi Krishna, who tasted success with Lakshmi Manchu’s ‘Dongata’ is directing a biopic on the notorious and widely talked about thief from the ’70s, ‘Tiger’ Nageswara Rao.
The life of the man who hailed from Stuartpuram of Prakasam district will now come alive on the big screen.
Interestingly, Nageswara Rao was known for his robberies and clever way of escaping from the police, and caught from prison too. In fact, it was one such escape from a Chennai jail that gave him the moniker of ‘Tiger’.
Earlier, the makers of this film have approached Rana Daggubati to play the lead role. However, this combination did not work.
Later, Vamsi Krishna considered Bellamkonda Srinivas and there is news that Bellamkonda Sreenivas has been finalized to play this role and he will sporting a new avatar.
The latest news is that Bellamkonda has been out of this crazy project. It is heard that there is a rift between the production team and Bellamkonda Sreenivas as they refused to pay the remuneration demanded by Bellamkonda.
Now, the production team is searching for the new actor to play this role.
Sources say that the biopic will be made on a lavish scale and the makers are planning to recreate the 70s era. Anil Sunkara and Abhishek Nama are producing this biopic. Payal Rajput and Nidhi Agarwal will play the female lead roles in this movie.
