Today, Mukesh Ambani preceded at the Reliance Annual General Meet, 2020, and discussed a few salient points with respect to the future of Jio in India.
Talking about the deal with Google, Mukesh Ambani said that Google will be investing Rs. 33,737 Crores in India, for a 7.7% stake in Jio Platforms. He also said that Jio is developing Jio TV Plus, Jio Glass, Jio Mart and so many other things.
Mukesh Ambani has also spoken about the 5G network that Jio has been working on for quite some time now. He said that this 5G network has been developed purely in India. He also said that Jio is partnering with Google to build an Android based Smartphone operating system, right in India.
Jio Glass is an interactive, 3D software that would help students and teachers to get classroom experience right from their houses. Not just for classes, but Jio Glass can also be used for conducting online meetings.
On the other hand, Jio Meet app has seen more than 5 Million downloads within just days of its release. This is not that surprising, giving the need for online meeting apps during current circumstances.
With so many plas announced, Jio has clearly geared up for a very busy future, one that looks to transform India, by means originating in India.
